Admission Policies
Admission Policy MBBS and BDS
Admissions process for MBBS and BDS programs for 2021 is centralized and will be conducted by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC). Eligibility requirements set by PMC are as follows:
  • Minimum 65% marks Intermediate Premedical from a recognized Pakistani Board OR from an outside Board (eg O/A Levels, American/Canadian High School, etc) with 65% marks equivalence as determined by the Interboard Committee of Chairmen (IBCC)
  •  Please see the IBCC website ( for applications and details regarding equivalence for non-Pakistani Boards of Education
  • Minimum 60% marks on the national MDCAT conducted by the PMC
  • Name should appear on the PMC National Merit list for Jinnah Medical & Dental College
  • Overseas Pakistani / Dual National candidates may apply on local merit seats
  • After appearing for an Interview at JMDC, candidates will be offered seats on the basis of Final Merit
  • Merit will be determined as follows: 50% MDCAT score + 30% HSC (or equivalent) score + 20% Interview Score
