Seminar on Present Economic Crisis and the Budget 2019-2020

The Institute of Historical and Social Research held a seminar titled ‘Present Economic Crisis and the Budget 2019-20’ on 21st June, 2019. The seminar was held at the Dr. Zaki Hasan Auditorium at JMDC. The speakers for this seminar were Dr. Raiz Ahmed Shaikh, Dr. Syed Jaffar Ahmad, Mr. Karamat Ali and Dr. S Akbar Zaidi. The speakers reflected on how the current economic crisis in Pakistan should be understood, and the effects that the federal and provincial budgets for 2019-2020 would have on the larger population. The seminar was attended by students, civil society organizations and intelligentsia.
