Jinnah Medical College Hospital is a 500 bed
teaching hospital spread over 6 acres of land. It is 20
minutes away from JMDC Shaheed-e-Millat campus.
Transport between the Shaheed-e-Millat Campus
and JMCH is provided by the College for students at cost.
Clinical training of undergraduate and postgraduate
students takes place at JMCH.

This Department is fully staffed by competent,
certified doctors who provide surgical services at
both the Korangi and Shaheed-e-Millat campuses.
The Department is approved by the College of
Physicians and Surgeons for training of FCPS

Elective and emergency surgical care is provided
round the clock which includes procedures requiring
laparoscopes and endoscopes backed by a fully
equipped ICU with trained, dedicated staff. Daily
outpatient clinics as well as executive clinics provide
full surgical care from minor surgical problems to
major ones. The ER provides surgical emergency
care for trauma due to Road Traffic Accidents,
Industrial Accidents and Firearm injuries. |

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers

Undergraduate program students are trained to
recognize and treat common obstetrics and
gynecological problems. Students rotate through the
labor room, emergency room, wards, family planning
clinics, out-patient and ultrasound department.
The Department offers a four-year Residency Training
program, which is recognized by the College of
Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP).
Residents who successfully complete the program
acquire FCPS certification. |

The Department of Pediatrics has a full-fledged
outpatient department with 30 beds for inpatients
and a neonatal intensive care unit |

Teaching for Fourth Year MBBS emphasizes
history taking and clinical examination |

Final Year MBBS students hone their history
taking and physical examination skills, and go
further into differential diagnosis, investigations

The Department of ENT is responsible for teaching
undergraduates studying in MBBS Third and Fourth
Years. |

Students are taught in the general OPD where
they polish their history and clinical examination
skills under supervision |

They are also exposed to state of art ENT
surgical procedures once a week and get to
scrub in with consultants |

Each student is assigned to make a PowerPoint
presentation on different problem based clinical
scenarios which is used as an interactive session
with the faculty. |

Ophthalmology |
Students study ophthalmology in Third and Fourth
Years. |

Students are taught History and Examination
skills in the general OPD |

They observe state of art eye surgical
procedures once a week, such as cataract
surgeries |

Each student must prepare a PowerPoint
presentation on an assigned topic based on
clinical scenarios to be presented in an
interactive session with faculty and fellow
students |

Fourth Year students complete their clinical
training at LRBT, the largest Eye Hospital in arachi providing top quality ophthalmology
services free of cost to non-affording patients |

Emergency |
A well equipped Emergency providing 24 hours
services is managed by trained staff and backed by a
team of competent, experienced consultants in
various specialties. |

ICU |
A 10-bed Intensive Care Unit is available for cases
needing close monitoring and special care. All ICU
beds have modern cardiac monitors, central oxygen
and suction systems, electronic respirators,
defibrillators and electronically controlled infusion
pumps. An experienced, highly qualified team of
Anesthesiologists is in-charge of the I.C.U. and
available at all times. |

There are five modern, fully equipped Operation
Theatres for various surgical procedures. |
